The Barrow Advice Services centre run by Inspira is holding an Opportunities event on Thursday 16 January from 2pm until 6pm.

Twelve training providers will be on hand with information about vacancies they have for apprenticeships, traineeships and other courses young people and adults in the Furness area may be interested in.

“It is an invaluable opportunity for young people and adults alike to get some inspiration about future careers and pathways or find out more about a totally new career direction,” says Sarah Williams, Area Manager for Inspira.

Training providers who will be on hand are Age Uk Training; Barrow Sixth Form College; Construction Skills; Furness College; GEN II Training; Learn Direct; Nacro; Rathbone, Taylor Made Training; PHX Training; Barrow Training Partnership and the Prince’s Trust.

“I urge people who are looking for a job, or thinking about the next step to come and see us and have a chat.”

The Opportunities event will be held at the Advice Services centre, 237-241 Dalton Road, Barrow.
