Jeremy Graham

Jerry Graham is the Deputy Chief Constable in Cumbria and is currently leading an extensive programme of Organisational Change. He transferred from Lancashire Constabulary in June 2009 as Assistant Chief Constable responsible for Territorial Policing, Criminal Justice and Community Safety. Jerry performed the role of Gold Commander in the 2009 Floods and during the West Cumbria shootings in 2010. In autumn 2010 he became the Uniformed Operations portfolio lead within the ACPO Children and Young People Business Area and is also the North West regional lead for Children and Young People.

He joined the Police Service in 1985, working in a variety of uniformed and CID roles across Lancashire Constabulary. In 1999, he became Detective Chief Inspector at Pennine Division in Lancashire before being promoted to Superintendent Operations Manager at Lancaster. In February 2004 he became Divisional Commander of Pennine Division. In February 2006, he undertook a short secondment to the Police Service of Northern Ireland, taking command of a policing division in Belfast. Between July 2007 and May 2008 he performed the role of Temporary ACC (Specialist Operations) with responsibility for counter terrorism, serious and organised crime and protecting vulnerable people as well as uniform operations support.

In 1999, he was awarded a Cropwood Fellowship by the Institute of Criminology at Cambridge and a Master of Arts in Criminology from Keele University.
