Inspira in discussions with BAE Systems

Over the last few months Team South has been kept busy both delivering and receiving new training. On top of getting stuck into the new Fast Lane Route Finder courses, they’ve also been running bespoke courses in both Barrow and Kendal as part of the National Careers Service. Staff have really enjoyed delivering these courses and they’ve had some excellent customer feedback.

Teams have been on the receiving end of some new training themselves, with David and Laura popping by to run through the new National Careers Service contract requirements as well as some internal training sessions on CIAG which staff really felt they’d benefitted from.

In partnerships news, several opportunities have now come to fruition in Lancaster and Morecambe including new affiliations with The Prince’s Trust, PeoplePlus, Balmoral Children’s Centres and Lancaster & Morecambe College, allowing the team to deliver many new National Careers Service workshops to adults in Lancashire.

There are a couple of new faces to make yourselves familiar with in Barrow too, with Jackie Watson joining as a Skills and Development Advisor and Mia Postlethwaite, who has joined as the new Admin Apprentice.

Going forward into the next couple of months, the South will be working on securing more partnerships for Inspira, with meetings already in the diary with The Job Centre Plus and BAE Systems, who they are currently in discussions with regarding the delivery of workshops covering interview techniques for prospective applicants during their forthcoming recruitment drive.
