Along with the rest of the County, the Team in the North are immersed in NCS. With a few places left,
recruitment continues with the team reinforcing the message to the young people that they will  have their Best Summer Ever! This Summer also sees SUMMER SPLASH being delivered in Carlisle, Longtown and Brampton once again.

In the South Lakes, the team have seen a real change in interest towards NCS. A parent evening held earlier in the year drew in over 100 people which really helped to achieve commitment from the young people. In early June another parent event was held, along with a warm up event for the signups to celebrate the end of exams.

Throughout the last six months members of the West team have supported two employer sponsored programmes. One was the second Ready for Work programme with Sellafield Ltd, and the other with Morgan Sindall. Participants were selected from referrals from Jobcentre Plus and recruitment efforts. Both programmes were aimed at helping people to be better prepared to get back into work.

Morgan Sindall ran the new programme as part of their Creating Careers in Cumbria programme. Inspira was asked to be a key deliverer and planning partner. Aimed at a similar audience to Ready for Work, the team recruited a completely new cohort of 30 people for this piece of work. Elements of the programme included bespoke CV and interview practice along with a presentation skills session. Participants also took part in some vocational training and work experience.
